7:00PM-WNBA: Connecticut or Atlanta

These two Eastern Conference foes will square off since they last met last season when Atlanta defeated Connecticut to make the playoffs since becoming an expansion team in 2008. Connecticut did not make the playoffs last year and are looking for revenge. Atlanta released star forward Chamique Holdsclaw, who averaged 13.9 PPG last season, requesting to be traded.

  • Connecticut is 1-0 on the season
  • Atlanta is 2-0 on the season
  • Connecticut is averaging 74 PPG and allowing opponents to average  61 PPG
  • Atlanta is averaging 70.5 PPG and allowing opponents to average 66 PPG
  • Atlanta is a -4 point favorite

Schneps picks Connecticut to win *(1 out of 5)

I know that none of you will even make it to the bottom of this post to read what I have to say about this pick. Its tough to say which team will win since quite frankly I could care less about the WNBA. But apparently there is some grudge between these two teams and the Sun want to take this game from Atlanta. With the 1st pick in the draft on Connecticut, Tina Charles who also played at UConn will be looking for an encore performance from her debut game when she scored 17 points and grabbed 1o rebounds.
