9:05PM-NBA: Kevin Garnett OR Los Angeles Lakers

In the midst of a classic series, the historic Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics will battle for the NBA Championship.  The Celtics lead the series, 3-2, so the Lakers must win both games at home to win their 16th NBA Championship (and fill out Kobe’s hand with rings).  The Celtics need to only pull away one victory at the Staples Center to earn their 18th NBA Championship.  Led by Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce, the Three Amigos will try to win what might be their final chance at a championship.  Instead of a straightup pick, we are given Kevin Garnett’s rebounds against Los Angeles Lakers winning margin.

StreakFacts:

  • The Lakers are -300 favorites to win, 6.5 point favorites on the spread
  • Garnett has averaged 7.3 rebounds per game this season
    • 7.7 rpg in the playoffs
    • 6.0 rpg in this series (totals: 4, 4, 6, 6, 10)
    • In 2 regular season games against Lakers, 8.5 rpg
  • Lakers winning margin in this series has been by 13 and 7 points
  • Garnett, so far has won this prop when Celtics won, but lost when Celtics lost

Stig picks Lakers winning margin * * (2 out of 5)

This one is tough, simply because it is tough to determine how this game will play out.  If the Lakers win, they will most likely win by 10+ points, but I think it is just as likely they might lose.  I have to go with the fact that the Lakers will play inspired at home and will win this game by double digits, which will make it difficult for Garnett to win this prop.  If I were you, though, I would pick a baseball game you get a better feel on.

I'm going Garnett. Lakers looked frustrated and frazzled. Celtics with all the momentum. Plus Ray Allen is going to go off tonight.
